2026 Algae Day: Algae Cultivate Opportunities in Flanders
Algae are gaining importance as a sustainable raw material for applications in areas including food, health, aquaculture, bio-based materials and the circular economy. The Flemish algae sector is evolving rapidly and offers new opportunities for entrepreneurs, researchers and innovation partners.
During Algae Cultivate Opportunities in Flanders, you will discover how companies and researchers are currently working with micro- and macroalgae. Companies will share practical experiences and experts will provide insight into the key challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
Blue Cluster will take part in the panel discussion on the future of algae valorisation. Together with other Flemish spearhead clusters, we will discuss future innovation opportunities, new value chains and how new applications find their way to the market.
