On 8 December, the SALOME consortium will bring together researchers, companies and other stakeholders in Ghent for a mid-term update on the project. During the workshop, participants will gain insight into recent research results on wind measurements, artificial intelligence, monitoring using optical fibre sensors, and the impact of energy market participation on wind turbines. The event will also provide opportunities for knowledge exchange and networking between academia and the offshore wind sector.

The detailed programme will be announced at a later stage.

About SALOME

SALOME is an Interreg project in which Belgian and French research institutions collaborate on dynamic monitoring and smart control of offshore wind turbines. The project develops new methods to use operational data, weather information and sensor measurements to support more efficient management and extend the lifetime of offshore wind installations.
